Going on voyage starts here and now… at first in your mind’s eye and your spirit, well before actually leaving. An idea is born, grows, develops, becomes a real project and then gets organised. It finally becomes a reality. To help you design your project here are a few suggestions, mainly in the Andes which particularly appeal to me, but also in Nepal and central Asia. Well with this trek that’s exactly where you’ll be: Chimborazo 6310m, theoretically speaking the farthest point from the centre of the earth due to the flattening of the earth at the north and south poles! Cotopaxi and Caymbe will also be on the programme. Leaving from Lake Titicaca, an unusual trek in the north of the Apolobamba Cordilleras. Isolated and tranquil, this trek requires minimal technique in altitude. This is Peru as you’ve always imagined it would be: mountains of legend, colourful lagoons, the omnipresent Incas. A trek and culture tour. In Kyrgyztan, on the frontier with China, the Tien-Shan is a mountain range in high altitude. I am proposing a fabulous trek to get near to some of the highest mountain in the massif: Khan Tengri (6995m) and Peak Pobeda (7439m). |
